SuSE Linux install problems

I can't get Linux installed on a P3 machine to save my life... I can't get a single distro to install without getting stuck somewhere. Typically, hardware detection of SCSI or video.

I was playing around with SuSE 9.0 Live Eval CD and found it compatible with my equipment. I went to install it, well version 8.2 actually, and everything is fine until the final install "Accept" screen. It tells me no packages were found on the installation media.

I've been trying to install from SuSE's FTP or my own FTP where I downloaded all of the files. I get the same error on both FTPs.

Is this a problem with the FTP network install or is it a problem with the boot ISO for 8.2?

Any help or advice is appreciated!
