My monitor is acting strange

I've never had this problem before, and I hope it's not serious. Maybe someone's experienced this and can help.

My monitor has done this 3 times today: it dims a bit, makes a clicking noise, and the screen kinda "zooms in", stretches out, and slowly returns to normal. Is this some kind of tiny power surge?

It's a Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 1000. I bought it because it was cheap, and have had no problems with it yet.

Thanks for the help in advance..

Sounds like a surge to me. I have noticed my monitor does the same type of thing when I first turn it on in the morning. Desktop is zoomed in then it shrinks to actual size.

This sounds like a surge or drop in power.

Storytime!
True Story:
A man called tech support complaining that his computer would reboot every time the toilet was flushed. After several hours and calls to the power company, they determined that the problem was a drop in voltage caused by the well's water pump starting when the toilet flushed.
