Merging Video Files (mpg, avi, whatever)
Is there an easy way to merge video files into one?
Specifically, I have two avi files that I want to make into one. I've used DOS copy /b and it does create a merged file but the video players will not play the entire result; they think there is still just the first movie there. I have moviemaker that came with XP but it have already developed an intense dislike of it. tia |

Worth the $20 IMO, but it's a free-to-try download. I don't find the XP Movie Maker to be SO bad....it's just SOOO SLOOOWWWWW..... But other than that, hey, it's free. |
u can connect avi's and segmented avi's with virtual dub u can get it at Doom9 or go to Sourceforge to get the source code

Avi: virtualdub
mpg: tmpgenc Not the only programs available, but I've found them to be the simplest to use. |
