ATI MMC Question

I've a Radeon 9000, and very recently reinstalled XP and downloaded the most current releases of both the Catalyst driver set, and ATI's Multimedia Center. However, for some reason, the MMC does NOT include the VideoIN feature. I've experienced this before, with other versions of the MMC. Does anyone know what happened, did ATI stop supporting the Video IN function of their VIVO cards through their software? Or are they simply not interested in distributing costly MPEG2 encoding technology for free on their web site?

Either way, if anyone knows a solution that's better than retreating back to the version 7.x that I have on the CD that came with the card, I'd love to hear it.
