X-Box Help!

Alright, I did a search and come up with nothing, so here goes.

My X-Box seems to be pausing...

I'll be playing a game or watching a movie, and the screen will freeze and usually the sound stops if I am watching a DVD. If it is a game the sound that was being played will loop. I have a suspicion that it is because the lens is dirty, but have little to no experience with this, so any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If indeed it is the lens, how would I clean it? Would a DVD cleaner suffice? Or do I need to take the damn thing apart to clean it...

Thanks in advance,

NoSoup

Some movies have multiple layers, some DVD players will pause during the switch.

Sounds like a tracking error - most likely caused my a dirt disc or lens. I might try one of those lens cleaner discs made for cd players. Let us know how it turns out.

Possibly, but many of the pauses happen very often, probably once every 2-3 minutes...

It sounds like the drive is dirty or dying. If it is dying you can buy a new drive off ebay for pretty cheap.
