My monitor flickers every time I surf the net. It mostly happens when I click on a link and a new window opens. It is not the new window that flickers but the old one once I close the 2nd window. The only way I can get it to stop flickering is to minimize and restore the window. This is becoming real annoying because it is happening with more frequency and I am getting tired of having minimize the window all the time. Does anyone know what is happening here?

Are you running Windows XP? Some of the "effects" settings may be making your vid card whacky. Try to turn off all "appearance" settings for "performance" settings. Display CP -> Appearance -> Effects.

Also update video drivers and DirectX to the latest versions.

Sounds like a refresh problem, but I don't think it's the monitor since it doesn't happen all the time.

check your refresh rate and also check your appearance settings....I had the same problem after a fresh load of windows and fixing the RR worked for me.
