Does anyone know how to put in a custom sound notification for incoming mail? I couldn't find anything in the preferences.
Thanks

Did you try going to Control Panel\Sound and changing the "New Mail Notification" sound? In XP, go to "Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices" then click "Change the sound scheme." In other Windows versions, it's similar, but I don't remember the exact way. As far as I know, any .wav file will work for the incoming sound.

2. Click the Notification tab. In the Sounds dialog box, click the Sound Set list, and then click either Default, Random, or Microsoft Sound Set. 3. Click OK. Apple Scripts can be your friends too: Using David Blache's Play Sound application
