Suggestions on a good editor - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

I'm looking for a good text editor that will let me do things like mathematical proofs. I don't feel like learning latex outright. So does anyone know of a good WSWYG latex editor where I can highlight/drag/ect then also look at the tags it inserted afterwords?

Have you tried <a href="http://www.lyx.org/">LyX</a>? I hear good things about it.
