Modifying connections on PS2 hardrive for PC use?

I have a hard drive for my PS2 that came with FFXI, but I'm not playing anymore, and that was the sole use for it pretty much. I want to know if anyone knows how I can modify the connectors so I can pop it into my PC, its pretty much just a free 40 gig.

I do not think it is possible to do this. I did some searching on ps2 enthusiast forums but couldnt find any results for this.

Supposedly its possible to go the other way, putting a larger hardrive into a PS2, if thats possible you should be able to go the other way.
