im lookin to play around with audition a little bit but i wanted to know a good method of getting vocals (i can get instrumentals easily)...what would they be called in searches?

They are called 'a cappellas'; a huge number can be downloaded free from Get Your Bootleg On - Links to Acapellas and Instrumentals.
