				VCR's Input Sel
I've a VCR question... My VCR's remote has a button called Input Sel, which I pressed accidentally. Now, the remote has no effect on the VCR at all. I can't switch channels, set the timer or anything. I can't find the manual...what do you suppose the Input Sel button does? All I get is a blue screen now, I can't browse through the channels at all. I have tried pressing it again, holding it down, whatever... Nothing helps.

| Psycho Location: North America | Input Selection (Input Sel) switches between the various imputs: TV tuner, A/V Front, A/V Rear, or whatever input hook ups you have available. Pressing the button again should cycle through the available imputs and eventually end back at tv tuner, otherwise look for a button related to TV or tuner. |

I hope it's not the software. I've come across that twice before with other makes and models. I really hope so, because now that I think about it, I believe the warranty on this thing expired just 4 weeks ago.

| Insane Location: work | I wouldn't think the input would make it not respond to the remote. This may sound stupid, but did you try new batteries? Anyway, there should be a corresponding button on the VCR that would cycle through the input channels.

| alpaca lunch for the trip Location: in my computer | Very weird. It should, theoretically, cycle through all inputs. The fact that it's showing blue means it is currently working and raeding a null signal on at least one of the inputs. Hmmm.. Two things to try. One: I'm with cadwiz: new batteries. Second, Unplug the unit for at least five minutes. Let the capacitors bleed out. Then plyug it in again. There is a chance that the unit should default to the regular tuner and you'll be back in business. Let us know how it works! |
