				Full Hard Drive queston
My 80 megs is just about full. What is everbody's take on having an external harddrive? or would i just be better off buying an internal? The problem i do face with an external is that i am using all my usb ports already. Are zip drives still an alternative? Any recommendations for what drive the best out there? price really isnt an issue. oh, btw, i am alsointhe market for a top quality flat screen. any help with that would be greatly appreciately. As an aside, who has the best deals around? newegg? fry's? thanks guys in advance. |

| Psycho | i have a 40 gig internal hard drive, and i have a 200 gig external hard drive. i keep all my files that i save off the internet on the external. if you're worried about usb ports, you can just get a hub. not sure if thats the correct term for it, but something so you can split one port into multiple ports. i bought my 200 gig off ebay for like $130 a while back. they're MUCH MUCH cheaper now. i have a western digital unit btw.. great piece, hasn't given me any problems. |

| Insane | by a hub that you mentioned, is that sort of like an extension cord/octupus that i can plug in any number of usb items into it? Also, has the luster been lost over the zip drive? i know the are expensive. So, your opinion is just get a hub; seems simple enough. but how would my computer then recognize a new piece of equipment? I am usung XP home version. thanks btw, the way, i'm going to sleep cant keep my open any more. thanks for your help bud. |

| Insane Location: Long Island, NY | If you have a desktop, your best bet would be to buy a larger Harddrive and install windows on it. Then use your current hard drive as a secondary drive. If your using xp you can use "USMT" to migrate all your setting and files to the new drive. |

| The Pusher Location: Edinburgh | Forget the zip drive, those things were obsolete the day after they were on the market. I remember we bought a 100MB Zip drive when they were the latest thing, they're really quite useless. They're slow, a bitch to connect, frustrating with all the cables and everything, and they can't compete, space-wise, with an external hard drive. I'd just go with the biggest external hard disk you can afford. |
