H.R. 1022, have you written your representative?

Well, H.R. 1022, the bill to reauthorize the ban on assault weapons is back.

If you are against this bill, please write your representative.

I'd recommend purchasing that weapon with a high capacity magazine that you have always wanted, just in case this bill passes

No kidding. I just bought an AR-15 that I have absolutly no use for, just because in about 24 months they'll be gone forever.

Are they available in all states or just some? Gun control is tricky cause it varies place to place.

Are what available in all states? In any case, I don't know the answer to that, because I don't really need to know.

And what the hell is up with that nasty smilie in my post? That's not the one I originally posted...

Here's where you can find out:

Gun Laws

I don't know which state you live in, so you'll have to check it out. In Florida it is legal to own an AR-15.

Thanks man, that was pretty much the crux of my question - whether or not state and fed laws differentiate etc. It just seems confusing and gets worse if you cross state lines too. I live in the freedom-hating state of California.

Oh, yeah it definitely depends on which state you live in. It can be pretty confusing and it is really annoying.

The gun laws in Florida are another reason that I like living here.
