    I'm from Cincinnati :) (well, technically, a small town about 40 minutes north of Cincinnati. But still. Grew up listening to WLW, and we had season tickets at Riverfront.) I moved down here after I met some dude on TFP (who isn't a baseball fan....damn.)

    An 11-1 loss drops the Lastros to 2-2.

    It's amusing to see the local sports media discuss the Lastros as the season wears on. They don't want to sound like they're on the Lastros payroll, but they also know that flaming them will have repercussions.

    It's early. The Lastros might manage to be respectable. Maybe :rolleyes:.

    I'm a fly-by-night fan of baseball...meaning I don't invest much into it as others.
    I grew up in Southern CT, so I became a fan of the Yanks. (and still haven't changed despite living in San Diego or DC...and no, I'm not a "wanna-be" fan, I'm true blue.)
    Normally, I simply catch games here & there on TV, to relax a bit.
    Don't really get into it until the end of the season and the post-season.

    However, interestingly enough, MLB is affecting me more this year than others.
    Because my route home takes me by the Baltimore Orioles stadium...so their home games are always a big factor on getting home.
    I got caught after their season opener...Oi Vey. :eek:

    Maybe since I'm closer these days, I'll catch a game or two...but I doubt it,
    because I didn't catch any when I was down near the Nationals stadium last year.
    Then again, I have quite a bit more "discretionary" income these days...so, hmm...

    Maybe when the Yanks come into town.

    We used to live very near (easy walking distance) the Astrodome, back when the Oilers & Astros played there. Sometimes simply trying to get into & out of the apartment complex was a PITA.
