29 Day Fitness Challenge

    I haven't felt much if anything in my legs yet either as far as soreness goes. I was afraid of that, which is part of what factored into me splitting things up the first couple of days. So far so good though.

    My issues are usually more cardio related than the actual muscles.

    Day three is complete. Decided to knock them all out in the morning this time.

    As soon as I said I didn't feel it in my legs I started feeling it on my last set of 15 squats.


    Here is my view while trying to do leg lifts on the living room floor:

    Apparently, by the fact that he kept walking over my ankles every time I lowered my legs, he felt I should've been doing them with about 120lbs of resistance. :p

    BTW - My wife is in too. She didn't get started until today, but she knocked today out and is planning on sticking with the program two days behind.

    Actually, it's walking down the steps that's the challenge.
    Watch out for that first step, it's a doozy. :eek:


    Seriously...careful of those steps...be ready to grab onto something. Don't want any falls.
    Although it is damn funny to find yourself hanging off a railing.

    I've also started doing lunges from one end of the lab to the other while waiting for protocols to finish. I haven't been caught... Yet.

    And done...
    Again, pushups and leglifts, no prob. The pushups will be a pain in some days. Then again, maybe not if I don't do them too fast.
    I did the squats through-out the day, in sets of 15.
    My quads don't feel as tight as they did yesterday...which is nice. Made some minor adjustments on how I was doing them.

  13. Did the pushups and 20 of the squats yesterday. came home with the intention of finishing up, but wound up passing out as soon as I got home.
    No excuses.

    Finished day 3, added a little extra to each to make up for it. we'll see how my quads feel in the morning.

    Done, with some tweaking, I'm trying to jazz it up a little, so I did half of the squats regular, 10 with jumps, and the rest as weighted lunges.

    Did most of the push ups, then augmented with bicep curls and tricep dips.

    Leg lifts did as leg lifts.

    I also went to the gym for chest presses, lat pulls, and leg curls. And 45 minutes of cardio.

    I'm dying. Dead.

    I should note that I augmented because I'm weak and get bored easily. I'm sorry I'm branching off-plan. ;)

    I didn't check in before going out for the evening, but Day 3: check.

    I wasn't as sore today. And I did the squats in sets of 10 instead of 5. Progress!

    Day 4 completed. I would've rather had a leg lift rest than a squat rest, but I guess I have to wait 5 more days for that :)
