You are most certainly welcome, & a big thanks to you for your post! I was hoping that some newbies would enjoy it and participate. I didn't think of TFP regulars, but that certainly works.

I have read some hot erotica that made no mention of height, weight, age, body shape, etc. It was nice not to read how "perfect" the people were. I imagine that it wasn't easy to write, and I'd like to give it try sometime.

The one thing in images, be it photos or vids, that totally puts me off is when one or more of the subjects looks directly at the camera. Even if the scene is obviously staged.

Agreed. I think part of the effectiveness of porn is the element of voyeurism, even in porn not specifically geared towards voyeurism as a fetish. Part of the turn-on isn't merely that you're seeing fucking occurring, it's that you're seeing what is normally private and hidden. That element can be pretty small, especially in porn where you know full well that the participants knew they were being filmed and would be watched. But it's still there a little, even if only as a device of fiction, and breaking the fourth wall destroys that device, or that element of the voyeuristic.

Although there is what's known at POV porn where you are seeing everything through the eyes of one of the sex partners so the other one looks at the camera all the time.
Some of those can be good.

I just don't want to be stared at whilst I'm staring at them. The whole point of being a viewer is to view and not be seen

I never thought of it that way. Cool post!

And, yes, I'm yet again bumping an old thread.

Sometimes written word does it for me. Especially if I'm writing the words. I can get myself really turned on when I write sexy stuff. I've been journaling some about my experiences as a hyper-sexual teen, and the differences in people's perception of the terms 'slut, nympho, and hyper-sexual.' When I was in my mid-teens screwing around slut was the most common.

I have always found that photos and videos create the most arousal for me, and I also like the written stories like on Literotica and Solo Touch as they cause the mind to fantasize.
