Nobody would put the vaccine in your veins. It's a subcutaneous injection. What are you so afraid of?
First of all, it was a figure of speech. Second of all, my body, my choice. I'm not afraid of anything. Fear is a reaction, I choose courage. I just won't allow my government to tell me what I have to put inside my body. Sent from my SM-G550T1 using Tapatalk
Did you get a smallpox vaccine or polio? I grew up in Alaska where the native villages were some of the last places to get the polio vaccine. I knew a kid who had it and his legs were paralyzed. I made sure to get my kids the mumps, measles and chicken pox vaccine because I had the mumps and chicken pox as a kid. The mumps were up in the top five non-chronic worst times I've been sick. Right around Bell's Palsy but well below kidney stones.
How about if doctors and nurses, who are watching Covid devastate their friends and neighbors and communities, tell you that you should get a shot?
Stand by your convictions. Die by your convictions. Should you get infected and become seriously ill: Stand by your beliefs! Don't seek, or even worse beg, for help when COVID -19 starts ravaging your body, and you realize that it is killing you, and/or family members. Making the decision for yourself, to risk your health as an adult, is one thing. Making that decision to risk your children's health is something else. We need a binding waiver. Whoever refuses to be vaccinated, and minors whose parent(s) or guardians refuse to allow them to be vaccinated, agrees to being denied healthcare related to COVID-19 and any subsequent strains. When healthcare returns to normal, those persons will be at the very bottom of the list for treatment, even if they have cash to cover all expenses.
And McConnell just blocked the extra $2000 I can’t wait until February comes and all the new players and leaders are in place. This BS is literally killing us If not putting many in unlivable situations. The Virus has put a spotlight on all the holes we have. (other countries too...) We can do SO much better And we better... Because the WHO is right...this is NOT the “big one” WHO warns COVID-19 pandemic is ‘not necessarily the big one’ - Today News Post
My kids are grown adults who make their own decisions but if they were not I have the right to make that decision for them. Your absolute fear of this only feeds the problem. It's exactly why the virus was put here in the first place. I don't mind a decent discussion but there is no reason to get heated. We all have different opinions and are entitled to them. I respect that right for you and I would appreciate you recognizing I have that same right Sent from my SM-G550T1 using Tapatalk
I am a retired first responder. None of my friends or co-workers would tell me what to do. They would and have given me their honest opinion. I happily stand by my convinctions just as all of you. This inner divide is exactly what the virus was supposed do and it is succeeding. Sent from my SM-G550T1 using Tapatalk
My parents made that decision for me and I certainly do not compare the Corona Virus to polio. Sent from my SM-G550T1 using Tapatalk
Thank you. I will admit to feeling a bit attacked firy personal beliefs which I respect for everyone. Sent from my SM-G550T1 using Tapatalk
Yes, but be careful of your own statements too. That meme above that was posted was very bold. As if, Shouting it out. This thread is for everyone to discuss a very sensitive topic that many have questions and some confusion about. We’re all here to talk it all out.
No "absolute fear" in me. I acknowledge and respect the COVID-19 pandemic, but don't "fear" it. I go out in public, and wear a mask and use hand-sanitizer. At what point does feeling the government has no right to tell you what to do turn into cutting off your own nose to spite your face? Media conspiracy? Around the entire world? No, I don't think so. On second thought, the minor children of the Refusers, and the Deniers, shouldn't have to suffer for their parent's or guardian's decisions. For the record, I'm not the one who first mentioned children (also giving the distinct impression of having minor children). Other than that, I stand by every comment I've posted regarding how the Deniers and now the Refusers should be treated. Namely seperated, quarantined, and denied medical treatment. As the posted meme suggests: Stand for your beliefs, die for your beliefs.
That meme was not meant to offend anyone. It was in response to how I felt about the government mandated vaccines. It was not aimed at anyone personally. My old mentor said if you want to win an argument don't get in one. I'm removing myself from the forum. It seems more like a personal attack on those with differing opinions than a discussion at this point. Sent from my SM-G550T1 using Tapatalk
The last sentence of your statement seems to say that I may die for my beliefs regarding Covid. What a rude, cruel thing to tell anyone. Sent from my SM-G550T1 using Tapatalk
Ok, everyone come down from your grandstands. We can have a civilized conversation Without pushing boundaries Or going to hyperbole We’ve had arguments before without going there. Just state your position without going after anyone. Convince them. Don’t pounce.
I feel no need to convince anyone. My beliefs are my beliefs. I'm entitled to them and everyone else is entitled to theirs. I don't wish to be on any grand stand. Sent from my SM-G550T1 using Tapatalk
I think you'll find that while the folks here have pretty different opinions on many different subject they all tend to be very well what you might call hard science based. Opinions are great and all but there tends to be a general ask for peer reviewed paper to back those up. We have scientists, engineers, writers, and researchers as regulars here. Nobody is asking you to prove anything but when you engage don't be surprised if folks are quick to ask you to back up your ideas. It isn't personal or an attack, just how communication tends to be done around here, intense and sourced.
