actually it just dawned on me as to why the feds might be purchasing so much ammo prior to the election. are they preparing for post election riots if obama loses in november? with the way things have been lately it wouldn't suprise me at all to see massive shootings, mobs, and arson when obama loses.

there's no other reason to have more ammo than the army uses in freaking iraq.

DHS? I would suggest it is reasonable for 20,000+ Customs and Border Protection agents to be armed.

A new campaign theme song from Randy Newman.

You can always trust Randy Newman to talk about the elephant in the room. The award-winning songwriter, who supports President Obama, has weighed in on the role of race in the presidential election, releasing a satirical song on Tuesday poking fun at voters who long for the days when a white man was in the White House.

The song has the refrain “I’m dreaming of a white president” and is written from the point of the view of a voter who casts his ballot solely on the basis of race. Mr. Newman said in a press release he felt the passionate opposition to President Obama over issues that generally put the public to sleep – the budget deficit and health care policy, for instance – belie a deep strain of racism in the electorate.

“I think there are a lot of people who find it jarring to have a black man in the White House and they want him out,” Mr. Newman said. “They just can’t believe that there’s not a more qualified white man. You won’t get anyone, and I do mean anyone, to admit it.”

i find this one especially surprising from someone who is so successful. i mean he's at least got an above room temp i.q. wtf was he thinking...

 

I chalk is up to being in constant campaign mode and being pulled in 20 directions at a time for months and months. It's got to wear on you. Obama once said he'd been in all 58 (?) states. WTF was he thinking? I don't put much on gaffes like this.

 

you know i think we are giving a huge chunk of obama voters too much credit when when it's said that they are concerned about romneys 47% comment. i think many of them dont even know anything about romney and are voting for obama just for being black, the hype, and apparently free phones???

Goes to show, there are voters out there (on all sides) who are less than informed on the issues.

 

There are also voters who believe everything they hear on Limbaugh...like this Obama "free phone" program.

 

phone or no phone this voter just has no clue. or are you going conspiracy saying she's a paid operative by the right...?

 

Voters across the spectrum have no clue.

But informed voters should know better than perpetuating a myth that was debunked several years ago and resurfacing today on Limbaugh, Drudge, etc.

 

this was the first i've heard of it. there's only so much political information you can absorb when life has to be tended to.
