    All I know is I liked the schadenfreude of Joffrey's poisoning...I can't wait to see some for Cersei

    Kind of like Dick Cheney is now a running joke. (our real-life male American version of Cersei, without the incest)

    I would enjoy the show much more if the time dedicated to Cersei was instead spent on Asha Greyjoy. Asha is a certified badass and unlike Cersei doesn't just sit around in castles all day drinking wine and acting bitchy for 5 seasons straight.

    Oh dear. You haven't read the books, have you?

    Pray they cut a lot of certain scenes out.

    Also, until now, Cersei was a catalyst for many things. Without her character, the story would be far less interesting. She's just not sustained that way.

    Cersei in the books is the character I love to hate. I feel like you get more of the rationale for why she does the things she does in the novels. She isn't just flailing about blindly; she truly believes that her choices are the right ones to protect her children, first and foremost, and to get what she wants, second.

    I need to reread the novels.

    From what I could tell from the reviews, people were unhappy because they didn't get any maps from the paper books.
    Are they that important?

    I read the book jacket info on a recent/latest? (it was hardback at least) one at work and it talks about Dani being hated by thousands and ruling with dragons after a bloody battle. This tells me she has a quite a growth process from the young woman who was just married (last part I read/saw concerning her) and I am guessing something nasty happens to the husband at some point.
