    Another star from my childhood has passed away.

    Mike Nesmith, from the Monkees and white out fame, died today at 78. Only one left is Micky Dolenz.

    I loved that show growing up.

    IIRC Mike Nesmith was credited with creating the first music concept video. It's been a long time since I read the story.

    Edit:
    The hour long collage film Elephant Parts contained several music videos that are considered to be the first music videos. This might sound very minor now, but the film was released in 1980, and MTV was launched in 1982. This is huge when you consider what MTV used to be.
