    She was 89.

After putting her name to the controversial Go Set a Watchman, she's gone.

When did you first read To Kill a Mockingbird?
What do you consider the main takeaway message from her literature?
How will her passing impact her life?

Harper Lee passed away today at age 89. RIP.

To Kill A Mockingbird is one of the very few books that I've read more than once. The movie screenplay is one of the very few where a lengthy and complicated novel was condensed yet managed to contain the true essence of the novel.

I now really must read Go Set A Watchman.

I love To Kill a Mockingbird. Mostly I love the movie, but the book is quite good too.

I love that it captured the time period vividly. It even still rings through today's headlines and courtrooms.
