Well, it’s been an interesting decade...
At times we acting well for our age
Others, we should have been expelled

Personally, I got divorced and started anew
Some ways better, some regrets
More important, I lost my best friend

And I started college again, trying to get a new degree
Something in what I’ve done for 30 years
Just to have that feather in my cap, which the powers that be like.

I don’t really feel older, just a bit beat up.
Like I’m tired of the wars of life and people’s BS
But I’m actually better than I ever have been before.

I’m looking forward to 2020...it looks clear
(and all the puns ya can get out of it )
And the new decade seems to be better, for me at least
Ready for more adventures
