Yes, but you're living a very interesting life now to make up for it. ;)
Something that I don't have in my much longer adult years, lucky dog. I feel cheated.

More non-internet vagina than me.

You are clearly the exception rather than the rule, which I hope you acknowledge given the number of times you like to remind us of your swinging lifestyle. I stand by my comment that some (note that I didn't write all) people who grew up/grow up with interent porn as the "standard" will have unrealistic expectations (real sex verses porn sex).

This always makes me think of the episode of Just Shoot Me where David Spades character thinks he has a small dick when actually he's really hung because his only exposure to the male organ has been through porn.

Wait a minute, so the male half of the populations shouldn't be shocked be if they have a hard time finding that "dream girl" with the 12 inch waist, 36FF breasts and wanting to join right in when they catch their man cheating with their best friend/sister/etc?
Not going to get started about pornagraphy but that is one of the problems when these kids who have had ready access to a very wide range of content and absorbed much of it set their own standards accordingly and understandably fail, often overlooking the real women around them that would be perfect (or at least much closer to it) for them in so many ways.

Everyones sex life is their choice to a good extent. It can be very porn like or not depending on desires. A good number of people do live porn like sex lives. I think this worry about internet porn though someone changing the "standard" is silly. The standard hasn't changed in generations outside of a few minor cosmetic changes involving pubic hair and apparently anal sex being more accepted as normal. I'm not sure how far you would have to go back to find it different, but not much has changed in the last 100 years.

It goes on and on, same body types mostly, same pretty faces, same flat stomachs etc. Any of those sex symbols would fit in nicely in todays internet porn.

No we still went for hot chicks back in the pre-internet day too and missed the nice but not quite as hot or well developed ones then too. If anything I think porn would accelerate the process of sexualization of teens and would most likely HELP in those situations since everyone would be a lot less awkward about it. I didn't have access to a LOT of porn back then, but I did have some, and they were all filled with hot women then too, and all it made me realize is that I REALLY needed a girlfriend.

The media certainly helps with the process of sexualisation as well. "Pornography" is an interesting term itself when you consider what was viewed as such in the US in the 1920's/1890's, or in Europe in the 18th century. Or you can go back to the ruins at Vesuvius where you find artwork that likely falls under that term now but no doubt had a different view from more of the people in that culture.

I think the repression of sexuality is an aberration of religion, and one only felt in the west since the later middle ages. Its something we are finally coming out of. I think this is over all a good thing. It would be nice of sex were less of an issue over all, and who's doing it with who and how horrible they are for it. Its one of the least important aspects of a person when it comes to their legacy, I feel, yet the most talked about.

Well, I did that too, obviously. But it's nice to have something to compare it to and know yours is normal!

In the early 80s, as a teenager, I found my dad's box of Mayfair magazines. Not only did I learn about the beauty of women that way, I ensured that my friends did. For a small fee, obviously.

    Hang on...

You mean you weren't comparing with your girlfriends?

    Another teenage fantasy shattered.

Not that I'm that familiar with pornography or anything, but in today's age of essentially free Internet porn, there is no single standard. Porn today isn't about a single, typical standard of beauty. It's a smorgasbord available at the touch of one's fingertips.

While there may be many pornstars who look like the women you posted, many of the top stars look quite different.

If I were to get into viewing porn—and I'm not saying I would (not that there's anything wrong with that)—I hope there is more out there than "the standard."

In my late teens, long before the Internet, I had no idea what a vagina looked like.

In those days, I read a review of a book titled The Vertical Smile (Wikipedia says it came out in 1971) which explained the title as a description of a vagina.

I spent way too much time trying to imagine that.

In 1972, when I was going door-to-door for a political campaign, I came across an apartment door with an interesting picture posted on it: a b&w magazine photo of a nude dancer with legs spread.

Between her legs, all you could see was hair.

This, too, was a revelation to me.

The internet has allowed "minority" as in non-majority preferences to have an outlet, but hit any porn hub style site and those are in their own category by themselves. Most of the porn, is the same type of "hot".

Face of average porn star unveiled

No one, I would assume is saying "everyone has to like THIS type of porn" or a certain body type.

I've seen that morphing thing and the stats. But the problem is that the stats are not weighted for popularity or number of films, I don't think. If you were to do the same thing with the top 100 stars, I think the stats would be different.

I mean, who wants an "average" porn star, amiright?

I think ironically most people if you do facial averaging. That sort of face is not very average ;) Imperfections and asymmetries wash out leaving a sort of perfection. Being completely average is quite rare.

Forsooth, those with a keen eye for beauty seek the perfection in imperfection.

I love the average ones - I'm pretty sure we've discussed this in at least one if not several other threads, but IIRC, a lot of us here seem to prefer the "average," believable, obtainable types, and not the airbrushed Barbie wannabes, the Pamela Anderson types, the Jenna Jameson model. I had a thing for Ashley Blue back in 2007-2009 or so.

If I knew then what I know now, the concept of "obtainable" and "out of your league" wouldn't cross my mind.
