How did you come to tfp?

I arrived here via Fark a loooong time ago. The threads I miss are the letter vs letter art contests. Never took part but loved the results.

 

Haha. I remember when that photo used to turn up in every thread!

Were they the drawing battle threads? Between two people?
Where one person drew something (like a rabbit for instance) then the other person drew something to destroy the original (like a brick falling on the rabbit)
Then the first person either had to draw something to destroy the brick or something to protect the rabbit...
I loved watching those threads

I just went and had a look at the original thread, HERE, and it looks like all the links are down. I know the photos are still on Picassa and Flickr, but they aren't showing. Sad. I was going to try and repair the links, but I can't log into the old site.

I originally stopped doing it because the new phone I was given at my new job in Singapore, didn't have a camera. By the time I got a phone with a camera again, everyone had a camera phone. It's not all that special anymore.

In fact, there is a thread here now that everyone contributes to with camera phone shots.

 

I googled "female ejaculation" looking for a how to manual.
Pretty much found what I was looking for and then some.

 

That's really odd. I found this place when I googled "farm equipment retail"

 

I found it in 2006 god knows how, I'm not the sort to google things that led others here. But find it I did. Was thrown out in 2007, and looked it up and rejoined in 2013.
Unfortunately, the person who'd been the nicest to me has moved on to post on the forum in the sky, and the rest of the people I spoke to regularly in my last incarnation are gone, both forum friends as well as the user that was the cause of my booting. There are some familiar names that I spoke to or read the threads & posts of back then, but not any of the ones I spoke to regularly.

Well I used to be on a couple of different forums, like a car forum for SVT Contours and a forum called the Dextroverse (The pinnacle of depravity - if you know, you know), and a few other random ones. That was like 5-7 years ago I think. I was gradually losing interest in them and drifting into the great infinite twisting nether of the interweb, and looking for a new place to put down roots. I wandered through several (I lurked on SomethingAwful because back then it was still creative and entertaining, but just couldn't bring myself to join the Goons) and liked the look of TFP and made an account I basically never used, but ultimately just wasn't ready to migrate I guess. Then suddenly I deployed several times in a row, and got married to someone who became a raging alcoholic/emotional roller-coaster, moved like 3 times, and everything blew by in a blur for like years on end - and now suddenly I'm divorced and living the single life in Hawaii with a new car, new cell phone, new apartment, new circle of IRL friends, new entire life basically, but sorely lacking any cool online place to kick it - so I decided I needed to get back into Internet 3.0 or 5.0 or whatever the hell it is now, and TFP was the first thing to pop into my head. Seems like a fun place to expand one's head-space into. How's that for a round-about, prodigal-son journey to TFP?

Lurked for the boobies, started talking to people and for some reason they trusted me enough to be a mod.
