how many times a week?

From my last 3 gf's and ex-wife I've been told I have a low libido. Once, maybe twice a week is all I'm interested in. I'm pretty sure that's below average. My last gf bought me some natural testosterone boosters that I took a few times. Didn't really notice any difference. And it's strange because the girls I've dated in the past have been early to mid 20s and I thought that women didn't hit their sexual prime until mid 30s.

Anyways, I currently find myself having to put out 3-5 times a week for my current gf. Usually more like 5. I don't mind...she's pretty hot and she cleans my house and does my laundry...so it's all good.

 

Nothing changed. I've always wanted more than she did. I would be happy to have it daily, especially if it was equally initiated by both sides. But it has almost always been me to make the move right from the early days. 28 yrs later it's still 90% me. So, I hooked up with her because she appealed to me. More than on a sexual level, and it has sustained for all this time. Still, daily would be nice, rather than the 1 to 2 times per week. On average mind you - some times it's been daily for a week and sometimes nothing for a month. There's no pattern.

 

So how many posts on this thread is it going to take you to completely contradict yourself on this, Eddie? Claim your girlfriend is really your Vietnamese housecleaner who you nail every time she bends over to pick up a dirty pair of your drawers off the floor? Or maybe in 2 or 3 pages more she'll magically turn into the hot model down the road who stops by every lunchtime and prefers giving you blowjobs to having sex which is dandy with you because your libido is through the friggin' roof?

Please don't disappoint.

 

I never claimed to have an overactive or even a normal libido.

 

Leto, have you tried changing things up? Different places (kitchen, shower, front seat of the car, your porch or deck) different positions? Erotic getaways, romantic dinners? Viewing porn together? A change in habits would definitely require some conversation but those sorts of discussions can be sexually stimulating in and of themselves.

Is she enjoying sex or simply going through the motions?

The fact that you are always the one initiating tells me you may need to have a serious conversation with her about your sexual relationship. Be gentle but be brave - be open about your concerns and be sensitive to her feelings. It may be a slow process and one you both need to chip away at little by little but you both need to get on the same page. That's the first step, I think.

It is really quite feat to stay together 28 years!

I guess it's still pretty common that men are more overtly sexual than women and so though they may be pretty content in their relationship they wouldn't say 'no' if there were more sexual activity goin' on with their SO.
In my case it did change from equal desire to nearly none on his side.

So far, in trying to get this sorted out I've learned what not to do to try to 'fix it.' Still haven't hit upon what I can do to get it right and keep it that way.
