Food If I read my ticket info correctly, I get to meet Alton Brown.

    There is a local theater that we sometimes get pre-sale offers from.

    In March, Alton Brown is coming to do a presentation. Minutes ago I got an email offering a pre-sale. The first three rows (Orchestra Pit seats) are invited to a pre-show meet and greet. I grabbed two aisle seats and bought them. When I realized (after buying) that it included the meet and greet I tried to go back and buy more seats, since about 2/3 were still available when I bought mine. In the 2-3 minutes it took me to make the transaction, all of the other seats except one were sold.

    Should be good times. I'll be interested to see how much time we get or what the pre-show deal involves. :cool:

    Venue just sent out an email concerning the meet and greet.

    Looks like we get to meet him, get a picture with him, get a signed 8 x 10, and then he hangs out with the group for a while before the show. :cool:

    No, wait, the defeated justice was Alton Davis.

    I never heard of this Alton Brown guy until this item.

    I could not be that close to Alton. I had a bad enough reaction when I was thisclose to Robin Lopez of the Portland Trail Blazers (almost hyperventilated, for real).

    How about a 54,000 watt, 1,000,000 lumen Easy Bake oven?

    It really works too. He made two large pizzas (actually he let someone from the audience come up and make one with him) and baked them in there in 3.5 minutes. The camera man used an IR camera to show us that it was between 800-1000* in the oven. Pretty cool stuff.
