DAKA DOING VERY NICELY, THANK YOU

How much of the lettuce crop is actually wasted?
Salads with much too much lettuce, wasted
Lettuce used under all kinds of preparations, (as a decoration?) wasted....

fflowley Don't just do something, stand there!

The amount of all food wasted in the US is appalling.

Definitely way too much food is wasted. It's especially had when prepared/prechopped veg/fruit is sold as it spoils faster and is more likely to be thrown away.

    I love lettuce.
I just ate a massive salad for dinner. My lettuce rarely wilts before I consume it all.
The Romaine lettuce recall just before Thanksgiving left a definite shortage. We managed to snag some iceberg and red leaf lettuce before it all sold out.
