Hold me closer tiny dancer
Count the head lice on the highway
Always been a favorite of mine.
Pretty much anything sang by Bob Dylan. Unless it was majorly 'doctored.'
When the Carpenters sing "There's a Kind of Hush", the lyrics are quite apparent to me. When Herman's Hermits sing it, it's not quite so obvious...
I heard Johnny Rivers' "Secret Agent Man" on the radio and realized it sounded like something else...
ACDC's "It's a Long Way to the Top" (If You Want to Rock and Roll)
Wringing out the sheets,
wringing out the sheets,
we shall come rejoicing,
wringing out the sheets.
The Police have a tune titled, "Message in a Bottle", where the end lyrics are as follows:
Walked out this morning
Don't believe what I saw
A hundred billion bottles
Washed up on the shore
Seems I'm not alone at being alone
A hundred billion castaways
Looking for a home
However, it always seemed to me like that last word sounded like something else... (especially since I thought they were trying to rhyme it with "shore".)
You'll never listen to Kenny Roger's "Lucille" the same way again after this...
Foreigner's Dirty White Boy...I head thirty watt boy. Ooooo, feel the power!
The song, "I Really Love to See You Tonight" by England Dan and John Ford Cole has a line that goes: "I'm not talkin' about movin' in..."
I always thought it sounded more like:
Johnny Rivers - Secret Agent Man
I heard Secret Asian Man.
Still hear it from time to time.
