I haven't seen the Ultimate cut.
    It sounds very fertile.

Oh, it's very tasteful, and definitely does not need salt.

Trading Places -- often shown on Comedy Central on a weekend, and I frequently find myself watching it just because
any of the Lord of the Rings movies
The Maltese Falcon and Casablanca (love me some Bogey, but not a huge fan of The African Queen relative to the other two movies)
    anything by Mel Brooks
    The Empire Strikes Back

Not really a movie, but a mini-series: Pride and Prejudice, the Colin Firth/Jennifer Ehle version. I can watch that over and over and over again.

For optimum bad-assness make it a double feature with Reservoir Dogs.

And since I was quoting it at work today, how did I leave Animal House off the list?
That one certainly stands the test of time.

    Me, too.
Should have had that under guilty pleasures.
I know all the words to the songs and went to many a midnight show.

Another one that I've seen many times, yet it skipped my mind (and has probably already been mentioned) is
Braveheart. I've also watched The Shawshank Redemption quite a few times.

Add another to the list...the new Godzilla.
    Excellent.

Old-school all the way. All the good stuff. They do it right.
    You'll be a kid again.

But it's definitely a drama, just like the original. (at least the first half)
Not at all like the one in '98

You know it's funny...you may think my list was extensive.
But speaking with my mom...she has a list just as extensive.

    Funny, the connection...

I might be repeating myself with a couple of these, but oh well.

    American Beauty.

Cold Mountain. The novel by Robert Frazier is a great read. The bad news is Frazier set a standard that he hasn't been able match in his following novels.

No Country For Old Men (Cormac McCarty novel). The Coen Bros. altered one key part of the novel, and I would really like to know why.

The Road (Cormac McCarty novel). I've watched it three times when I borrowed it from my neighbor, I really need to get my own DVD.

Is The Road a good movie? I really liked the book, but I didn't think it would translate well.

IMO, yes. John Hillcoat did an excellent job of bringing the grimness & flashes of hope of the book to the screen. Also McCarty helped write the screenplay. The bonus feature with the director's commentary as the movie plays is well worth watching.

I don't watch movies all that often, let alone rewatch them, but for a while I enjoyed rewatching Braveheart. I haven't seen it in several years though.

There aren't many movies that I purposely re-watch - I usually just catch them while channel flipping and then find myself on the couch for the next hour-and-a-half. That said, I've probably seen Bad Boys more than 100 times. Never, ever gets old.
