Resurrecting this thread, as I'm getting my mojo back.

In case you're curious, my inspiration for this piece came from my relationship with my father.

Isn't it funny how, as artists... If the mojo isn't there, we just don't feel like creating?

I hate the creative slumps I get in sometimes.

And, you're making me want to go out and buy supplies!

    Great color...and it shows skill.
I like the window "shades" and the technique with the build up of paint for texture.

If I knew more about art I'd attempt say something profound, but it wouldn't sound right. I'd better stay with the simple and true:

Glad to see you back at it , and thanks for sharing!

    This.

Despite the reputation that artists have regarding moodiness (and worse), their creativity is usually strongest when they're feeling their best.

For me, it's true. When I am in a down mood, my work takes a dark turn - very murky and I don't care for the way it turns out. But if my mood is extremely low, art doesn't cross my mind. Writing takes over at that point.

Having a wee bit of trouble writing right now. Have to push through that as work awaits!
