To answer a (rhetorical?) question, they gave up a touchdown.

    Edit--I just realized I didn't originally specify
    in the second quarter. /misleading

10 point lead, 14:52 left. The Jags can't relax.

Jax, got the turn over, but the play was ended by the umpire. Should have been TD by Jax. Bullshit

You can't keep giving the ball back to the Patriots and expect to win.

    Ask the Falcons.

    ----------

Uh oh. The Patriots are now up by four with 2:48 left. Can the Jags do it? They have their three timeouts.

The Eagles have kicked ass on both sides of the ball. The number one defense in the NFL sucked. Keenum crashed back to Earth, with a lot help from the Eagles pass rush. Foles was nearly flawless.

Who expected the first game to be a nail biter, and this one to be a blowout?
    ----------
I'll need to check the stats again, but the Patriots had one penalty for 10 yards. Were the hands of number 77 invisible to the refs? I could see shoulder pad grabs very clearly.

  10. And I went 0-2 this weekend on the teams I was pulling for.

That's right--I have rooted for the team that lost in all 10 contests so far.

I'm going to be cheering for the Eagles in the Super Bowl...

Have you considered rooting for the Patriots? Given your 0-10 record, they might just lose. Lol.

I'm pulling for the Eagles. But I'm so sick of the Patriots I might not watch the SB. The Falcons choke last year was frustrating, I don't want witness another Patriots win.

  12. Aye, but then, the one I rooted for would have lost again...conundrum! :)

I figured out long ago that the players on the field, floor, etc. don't perform any better or worse because of who I favor. I've been repeating that to myself a lot during the past three weeks!

Alex Smith going to the Skins could make things really interesting in the NFC East. Which is fine with me, namely anything that keeps the cowgirls in check.

I'm waiting to see what happens with the QB situation in Minnesota. Bridgewater is likely to stay, even involuntarily :p, but Keenum and Bradford could be a coin toss.

I'm going to (hopefully) watch the SB because I like the Eagles, and believe the Patriots are vulnerable. This will be the last Patriots game I watch unless the Texans play them, or they fall apart and start losing big (yeah, right ).

I changed the channel to NBC at 5. Can't listen to much pre-game babbling.

    Pretty crappy tackling, Eagles.

    Nice missed PA, Patriots.

    YES!!

    YES!!

And it's about time some close TD reviews went AGAINST the Patriots.

Porous defenses on both sides. Some interesting tricks.

Local Pats fan gave me 20 points. I don't gamble a lot on sports, it's not my area of competence. But I made good money on this Super Bowl. If I ever see it.

Twenty points on a 4.5 (the last number I read before the game) spread? That just shows the arrogance (hubris?) of some (many? most?) Patriots fans.

Later I'm going to do some surfing to see how much whining there is regarding the two Eagles' TD reviews (my feeling is boo f*uck*ng hoo; chances are the Patriots wouldn't have been in the SB without the benefit of some questionable officiating).

Which will most certainly include comments re the lack of penalties against the Patriots. Nate Solder #77 is either the best offensive tackle in the NFL, or he has invisible hands during games, i.e. unseen shoulder pad grabs.

Oh well. All the whining in the world won't change the outcome of the game.

One thing that might change, yet again, hopefully for the better this time, is the catch rule. The NFL really needs to simplify what constitutes a catch, esp. a TD catch.
