Yes, Hard Knocks is typically very focused on the current training camp, and each episode basically covers a week or so of that year’s camp. I haven’t watched every season, but have watched quite a few as they’ve come out. It’s pretty entertaining, especially if you have a vested interest in the team or specific players on that team.

    Congrats, Eagles!

    Phuq you, cowgirls!!!

Mentioning cowgirls, how money is CD Lamb getting paid? Maybe they should pay him by the actual catch ;).

That was an entertaining first half.
    Then I went to bed.
What happened? 3 points total scored after halftime.
CeeDee looked great in the first half. Not so much in the second half?

Lamb moved up the list?, or set a new record?, for receptions (quickest to 500?). I think he had 7 catches for 110 yards, I don't know how many times he was targeted. But he had three big drops, two clearly on him. The huge one came with about 2:30 left in the game, with the girls down by 4. On 4th down he had the ball in his hands, but bobbled it. The Eagles got a couple of 1st downs, forcing the girls to use all 3 timeouts, & ran out the clock.

The Eagles harassed Dak in 2nd half, even without The Spitter.

In a game you can try to injure someone with what is clearly a cheap shot to draw a 15 yard penalty. But if you spit on someone's jersey you get tossed from the game. I understand the harsh penalty to send a Zero Tolerance message, but let's do the same for intentional cheap shots.

I think we saw the 2025/2026 Texans today. Unfortunately.

If the Colts turn out to be for real the Texans can kiss the AFC South title goodbye.

Several teams seem to be building on what they accomplished last season, the Texans are moving backwards.

[[Chris, they're only one game into the season. Lighten up.]]

I'm looking forward to the Ravens vs the Bills. I won't say who I'm rooting for .

Edit: I've reported my screwed up posts, hopefully they'll be deleted.

The problem is with my tablet. I think some of the sensors are getting worn out because tapping certain functions takes me back to whatever I was previously in.

So...the Bills pulled another miracle comeback in the 4th quarter. I need to check to see if they set another "comeback" record. I only got to see about 2 minutes of the game, because I was pleasantly occupied.

    I got you. :D

Almost went to bed before this one was over as I had to be up a little early today. I enjoy watching both of these teams, especially Jackson, Allen, and Henry, but don't have a super strong rooting interest for/against either when they play each other. I maybe lean a tiny bit towards the Bills because of Allen and watching Hard Knocks this preseason, but it wasn't a huge deal to me either way, I just wanted a fun game to watch. Once the Ravens went up 40-25 in the 4th Quarter I almost turned the TV off and fell asleep, but I was like "one drive, if the Bills don't score, I'm going to sleep". Then it was "if the Ravens score I'm going to bed", then it was "whoa, I'm going to have to stay up I think", then it was "oh my, I am glad I stayed up to watch this, this is a great game!".

Henry is still such a beast, especially for his age and the miles he has on him. I hope he stays healthy this year and has another great year.
Some of the plays Jackson pulls off are simply insane. There was one time he was pushed so far behind the LOS, looked like he'd get sacked, then got a positive 19-20 yards on a run that really covered like 35 yards because of so far back he was. And he isn't just an athletic freak, he also has the arm, vision, and decision making to go with it.
Allen is awesome. Seems like a legit awesome dude in interviews and such. I remember the critics saying he was over rated because he came from a school that didn't play tough competition and may be a big miss in the NFL, now he's one of my favorite handful of players to watch.

Wouldn't shock me to see these two teams playing this one out again in mid/late Jan, and I'm here for it.

I changed the channel to the game just as the Bills scored the TD to make the game winnable...in theory. But I ended up in bed talking to my wife, giving her a long back caressing.

Every generation of fans has very good QBs they want to see make it to the SB, but some never get there. I hope Lamar Jackson makes it.

If Mahommes & the Chiefs really are on the decline, we could see Allen or Jackson in the SB.

    @fflowley

    I noticed your Optimistic rating.

Have you given up on the Bills, or on Lamar Jackson? I know windows of opportunity close, & it's not easy putting together a group of very good players and get them to gel at the right time.

Caserio is going to regret replacing a questionable offensive line with an even more questionable offensive line. Stroud isn't going to have a great year, however Fairbairn, our FGK, is going to have a great year.

    College football...

The Univ of Houston Cougars defeated the Colorado Buffaloes 36 - 20.

    So what? you ask.

One, it's a solid win in a good test for the Cougs, moving them to 3-0.

Two, the Buffaloes are coached by Deion "Yes, I'm Going To Tell You Why I'm The Greatest" Sanders, now 1-2.

Late edit. The following article (before it disappears behind an App Wall?) is pretty damning of Deion Sanders & his Buffaloes program.

Will Colorado's lopsided loss to Houston be the new norm for Deion Sanders without Shedeur, Travis Hunter?

Oh no I'm all in on Josh and the Bills.
Josh is determined to end our drought and bring us the Super Bowl we have all been waiting for.
If the defense shows up in the playoffs we can win it all.
