    Xerxes Bulking.

    I am.

It isn't. I should probably clarify that perhaps maybe there are black people that genuinely believe he's the best candidate for their needs or whatever ... so maybe not ALL black people vote for him because he's black. But I still stick with MOST.

You have a point. BUT 95% as opposed to 90% to me suggests that there was an even higher turn out of the black race with a single task in mind. Like, more people that could care less if it was some other candidate running, registered and voted.

If 88- 90% of black voters would have voted for a Democratic candidate other than Obama in 08 (assuming numbers equal to previous recent elections), how is that MOST blacks voted for Obama based on race.

That is all ridiculous reasoning. MOST black people only voted for him because he is black? Then why have black people ever voted before? MOST black people who vote are Democrats. The fact that a black man was running for president did motivate a lot of new black voters to register and vote but are you saying that they would have run out and voted for him if he were a Republican? I don't find that to be plausible reasoning. Black people overwhelmingly vote democrat. Period. That's why black Republicans consistently have a piss poor showing amongst black voters.

Maybe that extra 5% was because Obama was black. Or maybe, just maybe, it was because he got bigger shares of the vote than Gore or Kerry across all groups, what with him winning the election and all.
