    My credit union is awesome. Since it is not-for-profit, when they have an awesome year, they give out dividends to anyone who has an account there. They typically do it around the first of Dec, I think to time it for the holidays. The amount you get is a formula based on your total business with them (car, home, savings, investing, etc.). I woke up this morning to a $1216.16 that I couldn't figure out. It's the dividend for the last fiscal year.

    It's like the real life version of the 'Bank Error in Your Favor' Community Chest card. :cool:

    I gave up on banks decades ago, triggered by the minimum balances required to avoid endless BS fees. Our credit union has been awesome over the years for general banking. That said, we haven't done any serious banking with them since a car loan ages back.

    I had my first
    AI Acting As A Person
    interaction a couple of days ago.

    I called our HVAC company because we lost heating, & nothing I or my wife tried could get it going...in fact we couldn't get the fan to shut off. It took me a few seconds into the "conversation" to realize "Alicia" wasn't able to process my comments that were longer than a few words. I eventually got my message through, & heard from an actual human being about an hour later.

    Oh yeah...
    back in July we had this issue, but it was our AC that crapped out. They replaced the Trane proprietary control board with a new, but identical, Trane control board. Guess what they're doing this time? Go ahead, take a wild guess :rolleyes:.

    Wow that's fantastic.
    We belong to a great CU but we don't get any money back from them.
    We are also part of a rural electric co-op and along with great electric rates we do get dividends on occasion.

    Can't stand the AI phone interactions. I always try to get to a human, so it's a waste of their time and mine.


    This is, by far, the most we've gotten. Usually it's $150-200.
