My friend, who's a school bus driver and leaves around 4:30, woke me up this morning asking if I wanted some donuts.
Sometimes, I don't think my friends know me all that well...
    But I undress...
She brought me 11 glazed donuts. She thought they tasted too greasy.
Maybe a little, but come on! 11 free donuts!
Though, I may pay for them later.:D

For the past several months, I have been eating 2-4 hardboiled eggs more days than not. Most are consumed at work, eating over the sink and running the garbage disposal for the shells. It takes me two bites for each egg, and two eggs definitely knocks the edge off your appetite. I do eat the whole egg, because half the protein and all of the vitamins and nutrients are in the yolk. And the egg is still considered a gold standard protein. You would think people would complain, but I have gotten two of my female coworkers eating eggs a couple of times a week at work. Long live the mighty egg.

Something that was on FaceBook that I had to alter (you can pretty much guess what my changes were)

It always amazes me when something is suddenly gone you feel the need for that something an awful lot.

A hot water line burst under my kitchen, again, so we had to turn the water off.
I suddenly felt extremely thirsty and like I needed to drop a redwood-sized log.

And you think I was exaggerating??? Oi Vey.
Just trying to get him to log into Facebook.

No, no...click the little arrow into the first box
    That's a period...a dot...you find it near the M...no that's the comma...one over.
Capital T...Capital T...hold down the Shift Key...The button that says "Shift" and hit the "t" at the same time

    That was 30 minutes...
And no, he wasn't able to login....it kept on being wrong, he got worn out. (we'll try again next time...maybe find a friend I can talk to)

and no, I can't text him it...he doesn't know how to read text on his cell. *sigh*

I will get this...he needs to relate to his grandkids in "modern ways"

Sad part is...I've had worse troubleshooting at work...at least he was nice about it.

Would Skype or twitter be easier for him maybe?

Uhh...if he can't log into FB, then he can't handle Skype or Twitter.
All take accounts to log into.
This man can't even handle getting his email or text.

Phones, Cars and TVs are the extent of his technical knowledge.

Think of someone who's frozen in the 70's

My mother and him are like oil and water, day and night.
She is modern, hip, knows how to execute.
    Him, slow as molasses.

No wonder they separated when I was a child.
She had expectations and worked for it.
He expected things to come to him.

    The Ant and the Grasshopper.

Me, I'm just trying to get him access to his grandkids.
He doesn't understand, this is how the current generation communicates and shares.
Nor do they have the time or patience to do it "old-school"

    It's possible.

My dad chased electrons around on IBM 360s, back in the day. No idea why he is technology adverse any more.

I bought him a Chromebox, paid an ISP, and walked him through email, pictures, and such. "You want to keep up with your grandkids and see their pictures? This is the minimum".

He took to it pretty well. Still prefers printed pictures and stamps; but he can and does stay in touch with my daughters.

Just bought my FONZ tickets for next month's Brew at the Zoo, a favorite annual event.

I was too late to get VIP tickets to hang out in the Great Cats Circle with the lions and tigers.

I just live streamed the shaving of my chest on my bodybuilding group's FB page. That is now the weirdest thing I've done on the internet.
