    It's not the party. "Mad about the party" is too simple.
    There's something else she needs to express.
    "Party" is the place she's putting it. It may not even be something she's able or ready to express. Maybe it's that you didn't ask her that you were having the party but told her? (So this would be her not feeling as a partner in big(ish) decisions?)
