Well you are at least 3000 feet higher than me. Nederland, gold hill, jamestown, wherever you are.

We've had a few sunny days above 60, enough to get the yard and garden cleaned up. Things are blooming and the migratory birds are returning. I think it's safe to say spring is here.

Snow/rain tonight, 70 on Sunday, 40s next week. So, Mother Nature is smoking crack.

My seasons are dictated by activities.

Colorado is known for brilliant blue skies and for impressive snow fall. However, blue sky powder days are rare, even here, and are always a spring thing.

Thigh deep powder and deep blue skies at 13,000' yesterday, skiing was as good as it gets.

    yes

Hiked up above Loveland to a run called Wild Child. Inbounds; but a healthy hike at altitude.

I loved the Great Lakes area weather. It was never boring.

It is absolutely spring in the Phoenix area. Have put away a the long sleeves and pants until next fall.

Judging by the hormones in the building, the students agree: it's spring!

Yes, I always see a surge in activity on online dating sites.
In February, you're dog meat and hear crickets.
In April, you end up getting lots of "hey there *smiley face*" (BTW...ladies are just as horrid as opening lines...and investing into coming up with something that shows you read the profile as men...so don't blame us )

BTW...Nurses and Doctors in Labor & Delivery departments call the December surge, "Spring Fever babies" :D (August surge are the "Nip in the air babies")

    ----

In the meanwhile the skies are opening up and raining hell.
I saw a whole series of work emails about the storms as they crossed the nation...affecting communications, internet and power.
In the DC...tornado warnings...and lots of trees falling down from the winds.

    The power of Mother Nature.
She gives life...but she can fuck you up too.

Ah, spring de jure, even if not spring de facto.

Sunny day here in Lincoln for the first time in two weeks, according to the TV weatherman.
