80s three days ago. Freezing rain and a little snow this morning. Actual lightning and thunderstorm tonight. Love it.

Chris Noyb Get in, buckle up, hang on, & don't criticize.

    Large City, TX
The threat of possible heavy thunderstorms & gusting winds passed us by late yesterday afternoon, last night, & early AM. It's now gray, overcast, & cool, with a threat of rain.

Completely reversed from yesterday's hot and stormy weather, to low 60's and sunny weather today.
Talk about your typical Texas weather...

In fact, here's an example someone 'shopped together and I found on FB just now...

What it's like living in a huge state.
I try to explain that to people when they ask what the weather is like in Alaska.
    What part?
Down towards Juneau it's like Seattle, out on the Aleutian Chain it's windy, gray and miserable most of the time, in July it can be 45F in Barrow, 65F in Anchorage, and 100F in Fairbanks.

Classic day of what passes for "spring" in upstate NY.
Gray, drizzly, in the upper 40's.
If you like spring this is not the place to live.

"Boy, it's hot. This is hot. Never got this hot in Brooklyn. It's like, Africa hot. Tarzan couldn't take this kind of hot."

...okay, it's not THAT hot. But it's definitely hot for April. I'm ready to go swimming.

I shoveled the snow yesterday so that I could get my motorcycle out (the roads were clear). Must be a Colorado thing.

We've hit 100 F degrees for the first time this year.

Also our irrigation system is in need of repair--yard is mushy from the leak so we have bunnies!

Daytime high temperature dropped 40 degrees in three days. In the 60's and overcast today. Weird.

It's pretty clear why nobody comes to upstate NY on spring break.
43F and cloudy when I woke up.
Drizzled on and off all day long, temp steadily fell and now it's 38F with drizzle/wet snow mix.

Been snowing all day, mixed with rain. Coming down as more snow now and weighing down branches. Even for this area, it's pretty late for snow.

84* earlier, 59* now, supposed to be 47* and raining when we head to the box at noon tomorrow.

Last weekend was in the eighties and nineties. This weekend, when we're going to stay in Omaha and planned to go to the Henry Doorly Zoo and the SAC Museum, it's going to be in the fifties and rainy with thunderstorms possible. :(

Note that I've mowed the lawn and have 1,000 miles on the bike this spring.
