    Ugh, 2016.

    I've never been a golf fan...but everyone knew who Arnold Palmer was. Aside from being great at the sport, he also did a lot for charitable causes, especially for kids.






    And he was the subject of my very favorite ESPN commercial.

    I used to drink those all the time, until kidneystones stopped me- now I have to limit myself to one or two a year.

    I had one in Canada in 2014, this is what the can looked like:

    Given the pain I went through, I'd rather not run the risk. Tea is on the forbidden list, while lemonade is highly recommended.

    Even the treatment for the pain was as bad as the symptoms- the doctors inserted a stent inside my urethra and also inserted something to break up all the stones.
    I imagine it was something like this, except up my nether regions!

    (Protip: if you slip them $100, they'll knock you out for the surgery.)

    I did ask for something less invasive, such as stringing me up and beating me with blunt objects to break up the stones, but the doctor insisted this way would make for funnier stories in the breakroom.
