In the 70s, the black panthers used to open carry in California. All the orange county Republicans (and most other white people) freaked out. So California, under that commie governor Ronald Reagan, created strict gun control legislation to disarm those uppity colored folk. Maybe liberals and progressives need to be heavily armed in open carry for the next protest. The court cases are on their side. Just claim self defense.

"Maybe...." No, definitively. I have been in favor of a radical (heavily armed, extremely loud, and highly visible) left movement for quite a while. Passive appeasement helped the Nazis take control. Yes, I associate the current racism and hard right with the Third Reich.

I'm not sure how to read your post.
People should forget what Rittenhouse did?
Reminding him that he killed (murdered) two people is mean and hateful?

    ????

I don't buy his blubbering "regret."
IMO the brief bits of post-trial comments from him show he knows he got extremely lucky. Actually given the way the case was prosected, the jury selection, and the actions of the judge, luck might be a small factor.

basically means that he should probably be looking over his shoulder for the rest of his life.

I wonder if the jury feared retribution and death threats if they ruled the other way?

Watching his blubbery Jell-O face wobble as he sobbed was certainly a dissonant moment, laughing and choking vomit down at the same time.
I wasn't sure how it'd go till I saw how the judge guided the tone and POV to the jury, blatantly.

So, the outcome is Lil' Shittenhouse is gonna tour around cashing in on being a delusional Don Quixote Jr. murdering folks and telling the tale with pride and paychecks.

I'd like to see David Hogg punch Shittenhouse in the face till his nose comes out his ass hole.

    Fuck you Justice system.

The jury didn't find him innocent so much as they refused to find him guilty.

I wonder which would pay him more, independent speaker fees or being on the NRA payroll?

I was pleasantly surprised to hear him say he was going to destroy the rifle. At least that one won't be a fetish object for the right. Right next to their used canisters of zyklon b.

I can think one last thing he could do with that rifle.
Then somebody else could destroy it.

"Blubbering Baby Faced" Rittenhouse could probably be elected governor of Texas. :(

Somehow, I continue to be shocked by things that should no longer be shocking. I can understand people who might have sympathy for him - young kid, full of fresh testosterone and bad information, caught up in notions of being Robin Hood and now having to live with what happens when rhetoric goes sideways...

But he's not publicly apologetic, or regretful. He's being made into a folk hero for the alt right and he's embracing it. He's being embraced by people who I had the bad judgement to think had better judgement.

Rereading this thread made wonder what Kyle Rittenhouse has been up to. One thing: Meeting with some top GOP leaders who consider his actions as a positive for our 2A rights.

Regarding the following link...I don't give a shit who Rittenhouse is dating, I'm posting the link because it says he's seeking donations for his defense fund.

    Of course he is.
Sorry Kyle the republican way is to work for things in life.

I find it hard to believe he wasn't paid to chat with tucker. Why help tucker make money off your killings if you can't have some too ?
Or is he really that stupid ?

So if you pay him are you actually covering his whore bills ? Or is she withholding her services till he's all money'd up ?

Clearly all who engage in all this right wing media trash is leveraging bat shit crazy stories to take money from dumber people, or selling themselves to bigger PT Barnums of right wing media like Bannon and LaPierre as a story teller puppet.
Why work when you can flap your rubbery lips for cash, ask your "gf" there, she knows all about that. Actually that IS work.

The only thing that could make me pause with that thought is this woman knows there's fatter money pipes to suck on and I can't believe she dosn't know that, so what's her strategy here ?
Is she getting paid or promised something in return for chumming up with Rittenhouse ?

What, you don't believe she loves him?  :p

She's hoping Rittenhoue is a rising star (getting in on the round floor)?
Or using him as a stepping stone?

To be honest, my pov on relationships is pretty biased. Most guys I know in relationships really look forward to nights and days alone when the gf or wife is out with the girls or away at moms...overall far more stories on the bad side of it than good.

Regardless of personality match I still believe in "leagues" and that attractive people don't like to backslide unless there's a lot of "security and comfort" in the bargain, which may be there for her.
In a public situation, if Rittenhouse can muster up a real intellectual beat down in socal situations like a party or (for them) media situation that could carry some weight but I don't see Rittenhouse being that smart at all.
A guy I know once said, people under 30 aren't worth talking to and at 45-50, I agreed and at 60, only more so.
I think it's more likely she's disgusted with him more than anything but she's a player so she dosn't care...if you haven't, watch Of Human Bondage with Lesley Howard and Betty Davis.
Relationships are more often about hidden motivations. Just my opinion there...

He looks like a chubby baby and she looks like a grown woman. There looks to be 20 year age difference just in the expression on their faces.
He looks like he's still in the skidmark underwear stage.

She may be thinking she can be the next Dana Loesch, even if she can't get money from him, she can get her face in front of more eyes and gain fame leading to more opertunity.

Blubbering Baby Face Rittenhouse is appearing in Texas, near Houston, today. The event is being sponsored by a freedom of speech group (as long your speech supports the conservative right & 2A), & a group promoting Texas' succession from the USA.

Link, & group names, were intentionally omitted.

I would be interested in seeing the mix of people wanting to listen this nitwit. Chances are most are just looking for a reason to gather & strut around with their guns on display.

One bit of good news. A privately owned brewery in the area decided not to rent hall space to the group(s) sponsoring the event. Bad news, another facility did.

I'm white, 60+ YO, have a beard, & a firearms enthusiast. I could go play Bubba and fit right in.
