In my high school we had an annual Sadie Hawkins Dance where the girls got to as the boys out on a date. Inspired by the Li'l Abner comic strip.

    While I'm bitching.....

Keeping in mind it's all a matter of opinion, & POV.....

Cowboy boots and short skirts look ridiculous worn together. Long skirts are fine.

We were in the UK in '92 and saw a fashion that thankfully never (fully) caught on here: Miniskirts and combat boots.

My mom used to say... still says, that a skirt's length should never be less than the width of the butt enclosed:eek:.

When I was really young I attended a Nazarine church. A couple was very involved in the church, and their teenaged daughter wore miniskirts to church.

Real thigh-meets-ass, see-my-panties miniskirts. These days they're called microminis. FTR/BTW she was hot.

We had that, too. I recall being asked only once, and my date eventually ditched me halfway through the dance, leaving me alone on the dance floor to be mocked by my fellow students.

True story, by the way. In hindsight, this should have proven a good indicator of how disastrous my sex life eventually come to be.

    /Retro bitch & complaint! ;)

    kramus what I might see

I married the girl that asked me to a Sadie Hawkins dance back in 1973. Not that that was the smart thing to do, but on the other hand we did stay together (faithful and true) until our divorce in 2005.

I vaguely remember a Sadie Hawkins Dance being mentioned in Junior High (Middle) School, but I don't know if it ever took place. Which is moot because I wasn't asked.

But.....I did have a date ditch me at a club because she ran into her former volleyball coach from high school and decided to fuck him. One lesson I learned: Never ever take a first date to a club where her friends hang out and you don't know anyone.

    Seriously fucking stupid:

My wife left a voice mail message. Her voice was shaky, and all she said was "I made to work OK. Call me when you get this."

Just fucking say what's going on in the message. It's not that difficult!

One my sisters is the master of, "This is important, we need to talk.". If it's so fucking important, at least give some idea of what's going on in the message.

    "You can't handle the truth"

Often many don't want to hear about themselves, even if given with all sincerity and diplomacy.
Even if they SAY they want it.

I should know this by now...I should have known to keep my mouth shut.

Truth...and a desired situation are often at odds with each other.
Even if they WANT the truth, it's not how they react.

    I'm my own worst enemy.
    My analytical nature.
    And my mouth.

    Time to be quiet.
    Learning to be quiet.
Sometimes it's best to be quiet.

    Otherwise they walk away...
    Disappointing but it's reality.

The weather has been doing a lot of radical changes up here, sometimes shifting from 30F to -10F in a day or so.
We live in a bowl surrounded by mountains so when it gets really cold the pressure pushes everything down, including the carbon monoxide from the cars, which have to run longer to warm up.
My sinuses play havoc with my brain every time the weather changes which in turn sets off major migraines.
As soon as I get the migraine under control, the weather fucks up my sinuses again so another migraine kicks in.
I've spent more time off work this winter then I have in the 3 years I've worked for DVR.
    This sucks.

Totally could use some therapy. Tried reaching out to a few offices and it didn't go too well.

Some didn't respond. Some responded but didn't continue to the scheduling phase. They just stopped communicating when I provided my insurance info.

Others didn't want to provide virtual service.

Currently going through alot right now and could use the emotional and mental support.

I'm a very private person and getting that far to where I've reached out was alot for me. Doesn't help that I'm insanely busy, all the time. The unsuccessful attempts just makes me want to say screw it....but I'm sure that will cause another break down. (Shrugs)

I totally hear you. No idea why people do that. For me, what makes it worse is when you reach back out and get voicemail. Doesn't matter how quickly you respond. Voicemail.
Like, you JUST called me. Were you attacked by ninjas within the span of 2 minutes?

I just spent $300 on a limousine and discovered the fee doesn't include a driver. I can't believe I've spent all that money and have nothing to chauffeur it.

Can you expound? I don't understand how you could schedule a limo without at least being told you needed to make arrangements for a driver.

Mom passed recently and my family is not taking it well. I'm coordinating all of the final activities and haven't had the chance to grieve yet.

Still haven't from Dad passing some years ago. So.....I'm wondering when the hell I'm gonna be able to take some damn time to self care or at the very least come to the realization of both parents being gone.

Not tryna be a Debbie Downer to the thread...just kinda my vibe right now.

    :(

Sorry for your loss. I haven't lost a parent yet and can't imagine how it must hurt.
