"It's not too cool to be ridiculed, but you brought this upon yourself."

Originally aimed at Richard Nixon; perfectly suitable for Shyster Trump.

Respect the office. Hmmm. If I met Trump I'd call him Mr. President (with an extremely contemptuous look on my face), and wouldn't tell him he's a total asshole.

I'll give him credit (not the same as respect) for taking advantage of A Perfect Storm Of Discontent to get elected. He has taken the office of POTUS to a low not seen since Nixon.

So, it looks like the media is trying to promote a Bernie-Biden race to the nomination. They are giddy that Biden did so well in South Carolina, and were troubled that Bernie did so well in the first three states.

And while the Bernie side still has the activists and infrastructure on the ground in the Super Tuesday states, it will be interesting to see how this plays out. And what strategy is better. Is it better to go with a nominee who wins in the conservative states, or one that wins in the liberal states? And which one fares better in November in the swing states?

And I don't know if there is a map out there that lets you predict the delegate outcomes in a nice graphic. This site has a list of their poll predictions or national average prediction numbers. And right now it is going towards a contested convention that is going to be nasty if it is really close. I made a map based on my stereotypical unscientific views on where each state in the country stands on if we need a Revolution versus a Return to normal. And while the first 4 states are known, it will be interesting to see how close this is to the other 46 (+ territories and DC). The numbers are meaningless except their percentages should be similar to the delegates in some cases. (Dark blue = Sanders, Blue = Biden)

They're totally ignoring Warren, who's a bulldog and will likely last to the end.
Plus she's got a plan for the Coronavirus, which will make B/B pale by comparison
And K's ladies may redirect to her for the female vote.

You just need to get just the 3 of them in a debate.
She may be a Dark Horse here.

But media is almost totally ignoring her, focusing on the men.

People want to believe the unbelievable, esp when it would benefit them.

Smart, and unfair. But nearly everyone is making unbelievable promises.

Biden jumped back in front, and will most likely be the Democratic candidate. Now can he defeat Trump?

Bloomberg pulled the plug; Warren is considering do so.

I'll take big positive promises like these that may not get fulfilled under his presidency than the current occupant. He promised to build a wall and Mexico would pay for it. Promised to negotiate with North Korea and China, but instead sucks up to them. Promised to lock her up with no evidence of a crime. Promised to end the war with isis in 30 days because he was smarter than the generals. Promised better cheaper healthcare but instead has his party fighting to remove pre-existing conditions. I could go on and on. But I will take a bit of positivity. I mean, at least Biden understands science is real and measurable and does not claim global climate change is a chinese hoax.

So my map turned out to be wrong in quite a few states, but I feel that the DNC establishment is going "all in" on Biden in these past few days. It will be interesting to see how the debate goes on Sunday with no crowd and just Sanders and Biden on stage for the entire time.

If Biden wins in November, not much will change from the Obama era. Government will function with smart people again, the retirees with 401k's and stocks will be OK with modest gains, and the war on terror will continue because we will still let OPEC sell oil. (Syria is because of a pipeline and Russia, Iraq was for oil, and Afghanistan was harboring poor Saudis who were pissed off at the rich oil sheiks). The Tea Party will be revived and the GOP will have to go after middle age/young white people more. It will be an improvement for four years (and longer on the Supreme Court and gerrymandering/census issues). However 2024 will be a big problem. Will AOC primary Joe? Will Trump run again? Or will a different Republican rise up that can hide the racism and corruption a lot better?

If Biden loses in November, the DNC will need to be disbanded and many cable news pundits will need to be fired or retire. The new left-wing party will need to be formed with a focus on people under 50. And then have those people figure out what policies that people over 55 would want. Yes, the majority of the policy platform will need to be rewritten prior to the primary even starting and the candidates running will have to agree to the basics. A lot more effort will need to happen around convincing well off liberals to support a platform that helps the poor and working class people. And that is assuming that there is a resistance left or they even have a shot at winning over Nikki Haley in 2024 and then Ivanka in 2032.

Fantasy play. Biden chooses Warren as running mate. Steps down 2 years into his term, leaving her president. Then she wins the next election. Trump dies in prison. Jared still can't finally consummate his marriage to Ivanka because they are in separate federal prisons for treason and corruption. Eric and donny jr already executed their incestuous suicide pact when daddy was locked up. Barron finally gets treatment for his infantilism. Does not have to wear a diaper like his big daddy. Someone tips mcconnell onto his back shell and he dies from sun exposure. Rand paul retreats to his secret russian lair. Lindsay Graham finally steps out of the closet after getting bodyslammed repeatedly by Jim Jordan. Graham is murdered several weeks later by his jealous 17 year old brazilian poolboy Ramon. Doug Collins dies after losing a bet and licking a cattle prod, because Georgia. And finally Ben Shapiro admits his foot fetish to AOC.

Here is a another fantasy....very, very far fetched but not totally out of the realm of possibility.

A US Senator from Vermont is sworn in as President of the United States on January 20,2021. No, not Bernie.

    Here is how it happens.....

The pandemic is out of control.....An internal report from the Department of Health and Human Services assumes that the “pandemic will last 18 months or longer and could include multiple waves of illness.”

It becomes so bad, Congress votes to postpone the November election until sometime in the first quarter of 2021 (but after inauguration day).

Trump/Pence term officially ends at noon on Jan. 20, 2021.

The line of succession comes into play.

Speaker Pelosi would be next in line BUT she (and every member of the House of Representatives) would no longer be in office w/o the election. There would be no House of Representatives and no Speaker until an election is held.

Next in line is President Pro Tempore of the U.S. Senate. This is the longest serving member of the majority party, currently, Republican Chuck Grassley of Iowa.

But, w/o the election, the U.S. Senate that would convene in January 2021 would only have 65 senators, excluding the 35 up for election this year (23 Republicans and 12 Democrats).

That 65 member U.S. Senate would include 35 Democrats and 30 Republicans, flipping the majority and the president pro tempore position to Democrats.

The longest serving Democrat Senator is Patrick Leahy of Vermont, who would be sworn in as President of the United States.

    Bernie Sanders has quit.

Before COVID19 I would've given Biden a chance to defeat Shyster.

But now? Much depends on how long the pandemic lasts.

I'm not even sure I would have given Biden much of a chance prior to the pandemic. Trump would have run a well organized and very enthusiastic campaign. Multiple rallies every day and night with tens of thousands of fans and media. I already see a lot of Trump yard signs, hats, and flags.

Let's see if I see any Biden signs, or if the DNC has the same theory that they don't want to put out signs because it will just encourage the GOP to vote against them...

Now, I don't know what will happen. The DNC got lucky that there probably won't be a repeat of 1968 and a contested convention. Even though they fractured the party pretty bad and I'm not sure if they can pull it back together. And it is clear that they didn't learn much about why they lost in 2016, and are still focused too much on "the black vote" that may or may not show up. Then again, the young vote is also not a given to show up too.

A Hillary Clinton-Barack Obama ticket to replace Joe Biden? Is it even possible?

Quite a bit is happening on the Democratic side, yet nothing much is happening at the same time. NY is canceling their presidential primary, the economy will be in a recession soon, and now Biden has been accused of sexual abuse 27 years ago. It doesn't matter if he did it or not, just like it didn't matter what was in Hillary's e-mails or if she was personally plotting the terrorist attack in Benghazi. But it will be interesting if Biden can hold out and even make it to the convention. Will the DNC cancel enough primaries so that nobody has 1991 delegates? Are the superdelegates going to throw the second vote to someone who didn't even run in the primary...

They’re trying to fully focus on T
    No complications
    KISS

Their campaign, let T submarine himself
    It’s working

But they’re putting out tidbits of Joe
    Basically, anti-T ads

Nothing big is going to happen until the “convention”

The virus is unprecedented in modern times
So don’t expect the norm now
The rules are being waived and rewritten

I think--absolutely hope--the Dems are smart enough to stay the hell away from Hilary. 2016 should've taught the Dems a serious lesson.

I'm not so sure Hilary grasps the reality that she lost the electoral college vote to the worst & most despicable presidential candidate in modern political history. She can take some comfort in the popular vote issue, and has a point, but she's experienced in politics and should acknowledge what happened.

Hillary might not have gone to Wisconsin, but Joe is MIA from the entire country. And while I can overlook a sexual abuse claim, all of the other candidates except Bloomberg didn't have to deal with that either.

Trump did an interview in the Lincoln Memorial. Why isn't Biden out there giving interviews? Why isn't he moderating a discussion of doctors and economists to formulate a plan? Does he think he can wait until September to start the campaign? Early voting starts Oct 3rd in many places, and I would hope that he can give people a reason why they should vote for him. That is if he even wants to try and rebuild this country after the next depression and waves of virus cases likely still happening.

It is pretty sad when the Republican think tank releases an ad that is the best one of the entire Democratic primary campaign too.
