Republicans surrender to Trump’s China tariffs

Sorry, they've sold their souls and their original principles catering to Mr T.
    No fiscal discipline.
Trade wars...affecting markets too (and your funders also...except those generous dark anonymous foreign coffers from Russia, China and Saudis, etc)
    Family values
Nationalism...letting opposition nations gain an upper hand on the US (and attack us...and hack our infrastructure...and volumes of propraganda...etc,etc,etc)
Policies that hit the red states
Allowing jobs to leave the US
    and so on...
Everything you claimed to espouse (*whether or not it worked ever....that's another matter)

You break it, you bought it...now you own it.
I hope you enjoy your slide ride to your own hell

And even better, you get to have the Libs clean it up and look like the heroes
IF you don't turn our democracy into a tyranny by your complacency and rationalizations

Talk about shooting yourself in the foot
And you can't even complain to the NRA about it because they're going bankrupt AND have also sold out to the Russians.

But hey, party over nation...anything for your power and place in the sun.
As long as you got yours.

My old-school conservative side is furious...you all sold out your nation, for what???
    A circle jerk?!

Sarah Sanders hopes people remember her as being 'transparent and honest
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said on Tuesday that she hopes to be remembered as being “transparent and honest” when her tenure in the role comes to an end.

Sanders's remarks came while speaking at Politico’s "Women Rule" event on Tuesday with reporter Eliana Johnson about what she wanted her legacy to be.

“I hope that it will be that I showed up every day and I did the very best job that I could to put forward the president’s message,” as well as “to do the best job that I could to answer questions,”Sanders said.

“To be transparent and honest throughout that process and do everything I could to make America a little better that day than it was the day before,” she continued...

    The best response...

‘This place has enough creepy old men’: GOP vows to crush Roy Moore

    Yeah, good luck with that...

Problem is...you let him run last time...and supported him.
And formally letting run under the party again
Even IF you don’t like him NOW...

    The Stupid party
    #1 with racists
    Grand white old man party
    Etc...

    Much less your viciousness
    Spitefulness
    Going to the lowest levels
Support for an insane egomaniac prez
    Support for questionable judges
    Lack of budgeting
    Corruption even above your opposition
Lack of feeling for those in need (except embryos)
    And so on...

    Great party
    Doing well
    Keep it up

Sad part...there’s a large volume of solid voters that actually vote for them.
What does that say about them??

Your opponents need to get a spine
You guys need to find your souls back
Lack of integrity isn’t a way to go through life.

Excuse me, I need to shower...a very hot shower with a washcloth
    Ick

My congressman is one of the Republicans who spoke out against the tweets last weekend. That was nice, except it doesn't change the fact that most of the Republicans would vote to send back anyone with skin color that is darker than iced tea. And that applies to those whose are descendant from the slaves too.

I want to see some really out there poll questions, although it would be hard to get honest answers. They would lie in person, and the internet is unreliable. But, it would be telling where the conservative movement has taken society.

Lisa Murkowski, my rep spoke out against them.
She's never been an average Republican, so I'm sure folks will write her off.
She is also getting a lot of push back up here for going against the president.
    Trumpers love their racist.

Rush Limbaugh: Deficits are fine, GOP attacks on Obama were "bogus"

    No shit

Unfortunately, you know just as well there’s a lot of gullible and biased public out there.
    That just want to “believe”
And stick it to the “other side”

What I want to know is, why do the Dems always react to the BS??
    Just fuckin’ ignore it.

And BOTH sides do the right thing.

    Which means money does count.
    Deficits do too
You just keep a friggin sane budget

Something the “fiscally responsible” GOP doesn’t know how to do.

    NeverTrumpers skewer ‘Moscow Mitch’

I guess the Dems aren't the only party to eat their own.
How ironic it would be for the primary Mr. T enabler and caterer to go down for Russian collusion.
    Typical henchman fate.

Question is are the NeverTrumpers going to actually DO anything about it??
    Nah.
These days it's only death by innuendo.
Mitch is too stubborn to step down.

Republican Group Attacks Trump, McConnell In New Ad Running On Fox News

Finally, some in the GOP are fighting for the right thing.
    About damn time.
This isn't a party thing...this is security vs the blatant manipulation (and attacks) from a foreign nation.

WHY the top 2 leaders are sweeping this under the run, I'd never know...NOT.
They want it...to influence and gain votes.
They've sold their souls and nation to keep their offices.

If not direct cooperation...then with the awareness that they are getting benefits from the cyber-attacks and propaganda

The question is...will the GOP continue to push and fight against it.
    Will the fight expand?

Bill Weld: Donald Trump is a RINO

    Well said ...or Weld said
    But...
I’d say these days, a good percentage of the GOP is RINO

Meaning, they are not supporting classic conservative ideas
Much is about “sides” or verses the Dems
Or a means to an end

This includes support for Mr T and his actions
(I won’t say policy, because there’s none...it’s just ad hoc)

Much of the GOP has gone off the rails.

So what IS a Republican these days???
It’s certainly not about family values

Trump’s Acting National Security Adviser Said Nuclear War With USSR Was Winnable
Questioning “mutual assured destruction,” Charles Kupperman called nuclear conflict “in large part a physics problem.”
If only 20 million Americans die, we "win"

There is a new and updated ad from Republicans for the Rule of Law focusing on revelations about Trump's alleged conversations with the Ukrainian president that will be airing this weekend in home states of dozes of Senate Republicans, including Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr (R-N.C.), Sen. Susan Collins (Maine) and Sen. Lamar Alexander (Tenn.) .

New Ads Call On Republicans To Stand Up For The Law Amid Ukraine Tangle
The $1 million campaign by a group of prominent conservatives is targeting GOP senators with the message, “Stand up and say it’s wrong.”

Opinion | Republicans who back impeachment can save the country — and the GOP — NBC News

There’s a back and forth tug of war
But right now it’s looking more like they’re circling the wagons
This is the GOPs first instinct these days
I’d be surprised if they truly distance themselves from Mr T

I hope, but I doubt it.

Again, I’ve always liked many principles the GOP has
Except for their lack of principles
Not what they stand for...but how they do it
Including not even following their own values
    (Fiscal responsibility???)

I do hope they do the right thing
    And keep the momentum going

Especially against a prez that’s quoting racist/bigoted ministers and say there may be a civil war
    It’s just crazy

And it’s just going to get weirder...

Many of them can't distance themselves. I just wonder what kind of letters and threats the Republicans who have said some bad things about his phone call will get, or if they will get a primary opponent in the next election in a few months.

I haven't seen any Trump bumper stickers yet, but have seen yard signs and flags already, and quite a few of them. Trump is doing the one thing that they want a GOP politician to do, which is to protect their lifestyle and destroy the Democrats... and the Democrats's ability to come after their guns, their church, their trucks, and their money.
