Really good fiction. I enjoy TWD despite the many NFW! aspects.

In the early episodes everyone was careful (well, as much as possible) about not getting splattered with zombie blood. As the show went on that concern faded away. And amazingly not one of the regular characters has become infected by zombie blood getting into cuts, wounds, or their eyes (yes, your eyes are porous).

  2. Spoiler for those who are maybe only in the first season.....

They learned that EVERYONE was ALREADY infected so they didn't care anymore.

It seems that getting the virus directly from a zombie bite or scratch activates the virus. I'm not sure why the survivors would stop worrying about getting zombie blood/gore gunk on an open wound or in their eyes.

But it makes sense that the bloodier & gorier the show the better; can't have folks being too careful when killing zombies.

It's becoming evident that the real danger is from non-dead humans rather than from the walkers/virus. It's the irony of the series.

That reminds me of The Road. The catastrophic event (which was never explained) was bad, but trying to survive among the survivors was much worse.

  9. Melissa McBride is an AMAZING actress. I love when she's on Talking Dead because hearing her talk about her craft makes me smile.

I was super excited to see Alicia Witt on TWD. I had a huuuuge crush on her. I watched the show Cybill mainly because of her and Christine Baransky...who is also amazing. The character Zoe was so cool and attractive. I don't know if I wanted to be her, or be with her. Looking back on it now, probably with. So happy to see her and then again on Talking Dead. Still beautiful and amazing. There's something about her voice that makes me swooooon.

Definitely wanted to see more of her and her (mixed?) Asian female friend. Rick would have probably banged both of them eventually.

  13. I am enjoying how they are deviating from the comic book. I thought I would hate it like when a movie is completely different than the book. Things basically happen like they did in the comics, but either not in the same order or with a different cast member.

I kept expecting Abraham to die on Sunday's episode as events were leading up to it. He was supposed to get an arrow through the eye. That happened to Denise.

I was actually sad by that. She was a lesbian character and the only doctor. Why'd they have to kill her? I was pissed she even left when she did. If I were the only doctor, I would want to be as safe as possible. Also, if she loved someone like she said she did, then when would she put herself in trouble? She did not care apparently and totally screwed everyone over.

Ok, maybe I'm not THAT sad. Tara needs to die though. 1) She's kind of useless and 2) the actress annoys me.

Yeah I couldn't figure out why they would let their only doctor leave the compound, sort of like letting pregnant Maggie come on the Saviors raid.

Denise would have died sooner or later though, she kept going off on those little solo side trips like the closet of the drug store and to get that cooler despite Daryl's warning. Sometimes people with the most advanced degrees have the least common sense.

I have an advanced degree and worked a job that put me in contact with people from all walks of life. Trust me when I say that uneducated people do not have a lock on common sense. Common sense is in short shrift amongst all classes and educational levels.

  20. STUPID MOVE! I had to wait until THURSDAY to watch it. :-(

TV is all set up with cable so now I can finish the season off right.

DaddySquirrel has missed the last 3 episodes. I wasn't going to wait for him. Hopefully he gets to catch up in time before the season finale. I'd happily watch them with him....

I'm more worried about Maggie's baby than Daryl. The powers that be at TWD won't let Daryl die like that. His death needs to be EPIC!

    Super excited about Negan though!!!!
