So I thought I would post a few more pics. So this time instead of shooting from a standing position I rested the rifle on a stump to try to eliminate as much of my poor ability from the equation as possible. As you can see from the first picture it's not really a full on bench rest because the stump is shaped awkwardly and I can't get very tight to the gun. /end of excuses

I think this was probably only around 50 yards, but I'm not sure. Obviously not the best results but I am going to try to get as much practice in as possible before it starts snowing in the mountains.

Additionally I think I have put about 400 rounds through it so far with no malfunctions. Of course I keep it very lubed.

    Nice action snaps, dude.

I'm envious that you live in a wooded place that allows you to do whatever with dangerous baby-eating evil black assault weapons. So damn envious. Anyway, zero at 50 meter. Drive the gun (even while parked). Remember trigger reset. Expect wacky results until you "break in the barrel" (whatever the hell that means). I'm kinda in the same boat. My new blaster runs like a friggin' sewing machine but I had some annoying issues with grouping due to new barrel, new wonky optic (oh, the betrayal) and my usual Barnaul shitty ammo. That and I totally suck at shooting. Can't forget that part.

The green on the gun prevents it from being an EBG. :) That grouping is good enough to do what it is supposed to since you aren't shooting at competition targets.

Yeah, being able to do whatever you want for training is quite a paradigm shift. It's sort of like those nature shows where they release lions that have been raised and controlled by humans since birth into the wild. The lions just sort of sit in their portable cage looking out on the plains not knowing what to do.

It takes about an hour to drive out there but it's totally worth it. The trees create a perfect amount of shade so the sun isn't sucking the life out of you and there's a slight breeze. Additionally there's a small stream nearby to wash your hand off when you're done shooting, it's a pet peeve of mine leaving the range with dirty hands (not to mention the potential health hazards). Additionally we are the only people ever at that spot because all the 300 pound guys with their lifted trucks go to the gravel pit nearby since it's a lot easier for someone with their BMI to set up targets on the flat terrain of the pit. The slight incline you can see in the pictures is enough to ward them off :)

Me and my cousin both agree that going up there and doing whatever we want is probably one of the funnest things we as adults get to experience.
