I bought The Triplets of Belleville on DVD for a $1.00, on a whim. It's certainly......different.

I love The Triplets of Belleville. I've watched it a few times.

It's a bit whimsical. But I thought it was quite good.

Ha. You say that like it's a bad thing. "I don't like too much of what whimsy nonsense in my movin' pictures."

I liked it too, but for some reason I can't seem to remember a lot of it.

Well, the proper amount of whimsy for a feature is really a very subjective thing, isn't it? Animated films in general being more prone to whimsy than their live action counterparts, I would say that Triplets falls farther along that scale than, say, your typical Disney or Pixar fare. It's not for everyone.

That sounds like a great reason to watch it again.

That looks pretty cool. I added it to my list on Netflix.

Which reminded me that I still haven't seen the critically acclaimed award-winning American animated film It's Such a Beautiful Day (also on Netflix).

It's only 62 minutes, so maybe I'll watch it tonight.

That one's been sitting in my queue for ages but I've never quite gotten around to it. I keep meaning to. I think I've heard that it's quite sad.
