Loved this when I was a little girl, saw them in high school with a friend that I'm seeing again tomorrow, and am singing along right now. :)

Commentary by Leonard Bernstein on this controversial song first released in 1965.

Just got the Queens of the Stone Age album Villains on vinyl.
It is a return to the rockin style of the old days.
This track even has kind of a southern rock feel too.
Good stuff indeed and worth picking up on vinyl if you can.

DAKA DOING VERY NICELY, THANK YOU

I finally got disgusted with the local FM radio stations...too much crap music and talk, and got my "free" Sirius receiver hooked up, now I can listen to Classical music and opera ... jazz, bluegrass, etc...NO COMMERCIALS.
This has now been in 3 of my cars....
I bought this fully free programmed Sirius receiver when Circuit City (gone) had a Howard Stern special, probably 10 years ago, you bought the receiver fully programmed free of monthly charge).....
Friend of mine still has some for sale.....he bought out the lot when CC went under....

Listening to NPR on the way back from Omaha tonight; they were doing a kind of retrospective "30 Years of Fresh Air" and the host had an interview (from 1988) with rocker Joey Ramone. Punk is some of the earliest rock music that I remember hearing. Ramones, XTC, Patti Smith. I remember Mom and Dad jumping around dancing, with the music really loud. I must have been just five or six years old.:p

My teen son was playing a song the other day and I thought, "Damn, thats a great song, but it sounds so familiar." He was playing "Wild Thoughts" by DJ Khaled and Rihanna. I looked it up in wikipedia, and then it all made sense.

"A mid-tempo latin-inspired song, "Wild Thoughts" consists of Latin percussion, acoustic guitar lines and riffs that are heavily sampled from the 1999 hit single "Maria Maria" by American latin rock band Santana."

Got lucky and found an immaculate copy of Creedence Clearwater Revival's Chronicle in the used bin.
It's an original pressing and sounds as sweet as the day when I first heard a needle dropped on the wax way back in the 1976.
There is not a weak song on this album.

    1. "Susie Q
    2. "I Put a Spell on You"
    3. "Proud Mary"
    4. "Bad Moon Rising"
    5. "Lodi"
    6. "Green River"
    7. "Commotion"
    8. "Down on the Corner"
    9. "Fortunate Son"
    10. "Travelin' Band"
    11. "Who'll Stop the Rain"
    12. "Up Around the Bend"
    13. "Run Through the Jungle"
    14. "Lookin' Out My Back Door"
    15. "Long as I Can See the Light"
    16. "I Heard It Through the Grapevine"
    17. "Have You Ever Seen the Rain?"
    18. "Hey Tonight"
    19. "Sweet Hitch-Hiker"
    20. "Someday Never Comes"
