pandora is so easy to put on. So it's usually pandora gorillaz, daft punk, flogging molly, or gogol bordello.

I listen to a lot of Girl Talk for cardio. Lots of mash up, high energy beats. I really can't stand it at any other time, but I love it for working out.

I was thinking about this thread yesterday. One of the things I love about the Zombies, Run! app is that it keeps track of your pace. I recently kinda fell in love with Halo Friendlies, a pop-punk band from California. Most of their Get Real album is on my running playlist. I noticed this song was responsible for a 12% increase in my pace:

    Oh, hello there, old thread.

Lately, I've discovered that listening to certain classical/instrumental music while working out makes me feel like a total badass. Recent additions include Ride of the Valkyries, La Boutique Fantasque, the Imperial March, Mars: the Bringer of War, and the Prelude to Act 1 of Carmen.

Here's another great "badass" quite a "Ride of the Valkyries" with Stan Kenton's jazz big band. Turn it up!

A couple suggestions to go with that. Telarc does some really loud recordings with the Cleveland pops and one of theirs is the fantasy album. Recordings include the conan theme and the terminator theme.
In the hall of the mountain king builds to a nice crescendo. But a nice buoyant song is from Gustav holst's the planets, Jupiter, bringer of jollity. It's just such an uplifting song.

This one came up last night and made me smile (and pick up the pace.)

But probably because I was thinking of this:

...I want to play volleyball now, either way.

^^ That song, Shoot to Thrill, and T.N.T. are all on my list, as well. AC/DC is awesome for working out.

So, this one is actually a little embarrassing. You will not catch me listening to Katy Perry...well, ever. But Roar came up on Spotify last night, and what do you know, I ran an extra three laps.
